St Andrew’s Coronavirus Update

(Last Updated - 22nd July 2021)

Churches open for services

We are delighted to be able to welcome people in person again as we open up our Churches for Sunday services. We are now holding the following Sunday services in person:

9.00am St Andrew’s Church (during August)

11.00am St Andrew’s Church

5.00pm St Andrew’s Church

For those who cannot attend in person you are very welcome to join us online via our Live Streamed services on our YouTube channel at 11am every Sunday.

Covid Safe procedures

· Singing is now allowed, but with the use of face masks. If you are NOT wearing a face mask then we are encouraging you NOT to sing.

· We are now adopting a new seating layout which significantly increases the seating capacity in the sanctuary whilst also allowing some space between groups.

· Signing up before a service will no longer be necessary however we are encouraging people when they arrive to use the NHS Track and Trace QR Code on our NHS Covid App and sign in and out of services.

· Children and Youth will be encouraged to join the adults in the sanctuary sitting in their family units before going out to their breakout Sunday groups after the first block of worship.

· Holy Communion will now revert from remaining seated to walking forward and receiving from the front. We will continue serving wafers dipped in wine using tweezers to reduce risk of transmission. Stewards will guide us in the use of the ‘one way system.’

· After services we are encouraging people to socialise outside in the car park and not densely congregate in the foyer as was our custom.

· Tea and Coffee may occasionally be served (depending on the availability of volunteer teams) serving from tables outside the front door using disposable cups.

· PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE DISPLAYING ANY SYMPTOM OF ILLNESS.

· WE ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGING THE WEARING OF FACE MASKS WHILST YOU ARE INSIDE THE BUILDING

Thank you for your co-operation and consideration for others.
