Jesus is the most significant and influential person to ever walk the face of the earth. No one has had more impact on people's lives and on shaping human history. All of this influence emanating from a man who did not get a university education, never held an official office, and did not venture more than a few hundred kilometres from the place of His birth.Can we know Jesus as he really is? How do we come to know a person who lived on the earth two thousand years ago? The Apostle Paul says that of course we can! He expresses the Father's promise to us when he wrote, 'For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.' 2 Corinthians 4:4-6.
As we go forward with this series you will find that Jesus, as He is revealed in the Bible, has a fascination- an excellence, a perfect humanity, a spiritual beauty, a glory- that is self evident. As we become fascinated by Jesus, He will be honoured, we will come to know him more deeply and his presence will multiply within us and within the world
