Children at st andrew's

About Us
St Andrew's is committed to serving local families and we have large children and youth departments. We always aim to have fun with kids in whatever setting we are based and to make a positive contribution to their lives. All children are welcome to attend St Andrews kids activities and it is not necessary for their parents to be members of the church.

As well as our wonderful full-time team, we also rely on a large team of amazing volunteers. All our team members and volunteers are CRB checked and approved to work with children.
What we do
- Kids work on Sundays for children frm birth until 11 years old.
- After-school clubs for children aged between 4 and 11 years old.
- Going into local primary schools to assist with Assemblies, religious teaching and running activities.
- Help to organise one-off events through the year including ‘Detonate’ and ‘Messy Church’.

'Friends of God' on Sundays
Every Sunday morning during the10.30am service, we have activities suitable for children to attend. Usually this is in the form of age-specific groups that meet around the church building whilst the adults are attending the church service in the sanctuary. We also meet together as a church community for all-age services on a regular basis. These groups and services allow us to teach children the basics of the christian faith in a fun, relevant and creative way. We want to introduce them to Jesus and give them the opportunity of developing a personal relationship with him.
