At St Andrew’s we seek to be a community that is shaped by commitment to God and to each other. Our mission is to ‘follow Jesus, in company with each other, for the good of the world’. We want to do that by being a 4G church:
Grounded in the Word
Growing in the Spirit
Giving of our time, talents and treasure
Going into all the world, on fire with the love of Christ
We have a number of groups that will help you to get involved in the community here. Lifegroups are a fundamental part of the teaching and discipleship within the church; these small groups are a place to share in fellowship and reading the Bible together and serve our local community together too.
We also encourage you to join a TIE group (Three Is Enough), as these friendships can provide a safe place to pray, to ask questions and to invite non-Christian friends to learn more about the Christian faith. As well as Lifegroups and TIE groups there are of course numerous other groups, activities and events so we hope there will be something for everyone.
What is it like to be a part of St Andrew's?
Whether we're gathered together or out and about, we hope that our members and the people we meet will get a taste of...
We love spending time in God's presence. We want to find that special place where we can worship freely, knowing that there is nothing we can do to earn the Father's love.
We believe the Bible is God's Word and contains the truth about us and our world. We look to the Holy Spirit for understanding of the Word and to hear the Father's heart for our lives today.
We are building authentic communities of people who are free to come as they are, but who don't want to leave unchanged. We're part of one big family so we try not to hide from one another, even when it's hard.
As the most important relationship we'll ever have gets restored, so do the relationships we have with those who are on the journey with us. We long to see more people come to know the Father through Jesus.
Each one of us is made in the image of God. There is a whole universe of potential inside. We want to see people realising their gifts and becoming all that God created them to be.
