News and Highlights from our Nets
Children & Families Department
Our vision is to make friends with Jesus and change our world together.
God has been teaching us a lot as we have been learning about worship on Sunday mornings. We have been learning about the Tabernacle and Sacrifice. Last Sunday we held interactive workshops for the kids looking at music, dance and art as different ways to worship God. It was such a fun morning and quite moving to see how open the kids were to being creative in their worship.
We are planning a Sunday morning in July of outreach events and began planning these yesterday with the kids in their groups. They are really excited and have begun coming up with all kinds of suggestions. Please pray that the plans would move forward smoothly and that the nets would be inspired by God, not just their own good ideas. Watch this space! Phillipa

Claire Thomas working with LIV in Durban, South Africa

Claire is working with a project called LI Village, a brand new residential facility for orphaned children. The children will be housed in small houses with a h ouse Mother. They are hoping to move the children to LI Village this month or in July. She asks us to join with them for 90 Days of Prayer.

They set up a 24/7 - 90 day 'prayer & fasting' chain which started on Sunday 3rd April and finishes 1st July. They ask us to pray during the critical stage of laying 'foundations', in preparation for the first intake of children and the mothers.
They have felt an increase in spiritual opposition these past few months. The mothers, who are in training, and are waiting for the completion of their homes, have also been under attack. They have been fasting and praying, regularly, for the past 6 months. So let’s join them.
